Quincy Bonds was born in Los Angeles, California on November 11, 1970. Quincy was raised in Los Angeles until 1976 when he and his mother moved to Seattle, Washington. Seattle is where he spent most of his childhood graduating from Garfield High School in 1989. As a child as well as middle and high school, Quincy was a Performing Arts student and participated in many productions and commercials.

Quincy moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1989 to attend Morehouse College. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Sales. After graduating, Quincy worked for several companies including Cox Communications. He soon realized that he would not fulfill his goal for success with these companies and changed his direction and returned to his first love which was acting and production.

Quincy then refocused his direction and took several acting classes in the Atlanta area including a program at the Alliance Theater with Kenny Leon. Quincy then went on to the Company Actors Studio with one of Atlanta’s premier actors Mike Pniewski.  After several workshops including classes taken in Los Angeles, Quincy joined an improv troupe in Atlanta called Whole World Theater where he trained with Lance Krall from the hit show on VH1 called Free Radio. He found his comedic voice at Whole World Theater and with the help of several actors from the program he also learned to develop sketch comedy. He wrote a show called Cotton Pickin’ Comedy. Quincy was one of the writers, producers, directors and actors of the show. The show included improv, sketch and stand-up comedy in one show.

Quincy developed a show called Phat Comedy stand up. Phat Comedy ran for more than 9 years, played at over 25 venues and booked over 60 comedians in Atlanta and the Southeast region of the Country.  Through his company he was afforded the opportunity to audition for the Tyler Perry hit sitcom “House of Payne” which has been syndicated on TBS, Peachtree and BET. Quincy plays a character on the program and has recorded close to 20 episodes.
Quincy has recently starred in Geico and Allstate Insurance commercials. Quincy also worked with Carl Payne as Brandon on the show Last Call which aired on the Bounce Network. You can also hear him live weekly on FUBU Radio guest hosting with the award winning Shay McCray. The show entitled, “The Takeover” streams live on spotify and all social platforms. In 2021 Quincy was called back to join the cast of “Tyler Perry’s House Of Payne”. He also plays a preacher on an episode of “Hightown” a hit series on the Stars Network.
